The Big Green Egg Additional Pit Probe measures air temperature near the cooking surface, giving an EGG Genius system another view of conditions inside the cooker. It is useful for comparing zones or replacing a damaged pit probe.

The stainless steel sensor uses a six-foot heat-resistant cable and is manufacturer-rated to 572°F, with stated accuracy of ±0.7°F. For actual EGG Genius low-and-slow use, follow the controller manual and keep the probe setup below 400°F.
