Critical installation warning: The Table Nest is not designed or intended as a freestanding support. Use it only when the 2XL EGG is housed within a suitable table, island, or other surround. Never place the EGG directly over wood or another combustible material. For maximum heat protection—particularly during long or high-temperature cooks—Big Green Egg recommends using a properly selected granite tile or other noncombustible barrier together with the Table Nest. Inspect the surface beneath the EGG periodically for heat-related deterioration.
