Plan large-area shade around the space instead of around a central obstruction. The FIM Flexy Commercial system uses carrier posts outside the covered zone and a retractable, tilting canopy to support custom patio layouts for restaurants, hotels, amenity areas, and residential projects.
FIM North America lists freestanding FSB/OS24 bases, DMT16 deck mounts, and GIB ground inserts for standard Flexy installations. The current Flexy assembly instructions call for at least 550 lb. of ballast at each freestanding base. Base selection, quantity, support tubes or risers, anchors, and ballast are project-specific.
This listing has one generic “Flexy” SKU, but the manufacturer offers multiple sizes and has used different opening-system generations. Before ordering, confirm the exact canopy dimensions, manual or powered operation, fabric, frame finish, number of carrier posts, base package, gutters, lighting if applicable, shipping scope, and installation drawings. Do not infer that the pictured or previously described 10 × 16 ft. configuration is the only configuration represented by this SKU.
Flexy is primarily a sun-shade system. Follow the current manual, close it when unattended, and close it for strong winds, thunderstorms, heavy rain, or snow.
