Cover a large dining or gathering area with a 16-foot octagonal canopy while keeping tables in place when the umbrella closes. The Frankford Nova uses a commercial telescoping crank that raises the canopy during closure, paired with a heavy aluminum structure built for large-format shade.
The umbrella frame and selected canopy are included. Frankford's current catalog lists a black polyester protective cover with the Nova; confirm the current factory package on the order acknowledgement. Base or mount is not included. Plan an NGU550 freestanding base or a manufacturer-approved Nova direct/in-ground mount for the site; installation hardware and professional installation are separate.
Frankford publishes a 50 mph sustained-wind rating for a properly mounted Nova in its optimal position, but treats wind ratings as guidance rather than a warranty. Close and secure the umbrella in sudden weather, whenever it is unattended or not in use, and when sustained winds exceed 25 mph. Site exposure, elevation, and anchoring can require a more conservative plan.
