Description Compatibility Installation Requirements Before Ordering Official Infratech Resource

Create a clean recessed installation for a compatible 48-inch Infratech W/WD-Series heater with the W-48 Marine UpGrade flush-mount frame. The Marine UpGrade version uses 316 stainless steel for added corrosion resistance in coastal and other demanding environments.

  • For compatible 48-inch Infratech W-Series and WD-Series heaters
  • Not for C-Series, CD-Series or Motif Collection heaters
  • Frame only; heater and controls are sold separately
  • Flush mounting is limited to a flat, non-sloped ceiling with the heater horizontal to the floor and facing straight down
  • Infratech specifies a five-sided pocket lined and sealed with 5/8-inch Type X drywall, a one-hour fire rating and minimum 2-by-8 framing; follow the current model-specific drawing
  • Includes the specified high-temperature fixture whip and wire connectors for the heater connection
  • Keep the junction box accessible outside the sealed pocket and maintain every required ventilation clearance
  • Permanent hardwiring must be completed by a licensed electrician in accordance with current Infratech instructions, the NEC and local codes
  • Confirm heater model, length, voltage, ceiling construction, cutout dimensions, finish and all clearances before purchase
